Frequently asked questions about the sensor

Is the process connection variable?

Yes, the process connection can be adapted to your individual requirements. Please note that a limited selection of process connections is available for rental units and measurement campaigns.

Is the sensor available with ATEX certification?

Unfortunately, we do not currently offer a version with ATEX certification. Please contact us if your requirements call for an ATEX-rated design.

What materials are the wetted parts made of?

We currently manufacture all wetted parts from high-grade stainless steel and use sapphire glass and durable seals. Please contact us if your application requires more resistant materials.

What does a variable measuring gap mean?

The width of the measuring gap can be adjusted automatically and steplessly during the measurement. This enables representative measurements in systems with strongly varying particle sizes. In addition, the gap adjustment prevents blockages in the measuring zone.

Is the sensor's measuring principle laser-based?

No, our sensors are based exclusively on an image-based measuring principle. This gives you the advantage of measuring particle shapes in addition to particle size distribution. The image also provides a direct, verifiable basis for the results.

What is the temporal resolution of the measurement?

Our sensors can capture up to 10 frames per second and evaluate them in real time. For dynamic processes, complex measurement protocols with variable frame rates are available.

What is included in the scope of delivery?

The sensor system is equipped with a compact control cabinet. Please request a datasheet from us for further information on cable lengths and dimensions.
